Presbyterian Cursillo is a purposefully designed method for renewing the faith of individuals and, through the individuals, the environments in which they live and work. “Cursillo” (pronounced Kur-see-yo) is a Spanish word meaning "short course". When one speaks of Cursillo, it is usually describing a three-day spiritual retreat which revives the spirit and rejuvenates the church. This retreat is designed to provide a framework for the development of Christians in the local church and in the world.
First Presbyterian Church of Bay City is a supporter of Cursillo here in the Houston area. Members of our congregation attend and staff Cursillo events on a regular basis. For more details about Presbyterian Cursillo, go to the Houston Cursillo website or the Presbyterian Cursillo website.
